Welcome to the official website of the Logan County Sheriff's Office Community Resource Team!  I hope you find the information contained within this website to be both interesting and useful.  As your Logan County Sheriff, it is my firm commitment that first and foremost the Sheriff's Office will be responsive to the needs of the community we serve.

In an ongoing effort to enhance our responsiveness by bringing governmental services much closer to the public, the Sheriff's Office will provide community resource updates, program information, and forums on this site.  This is just another example of the valued partnerships that have been established between the Sheriff's Office and members of our community.

One of my strongest convictions is that you can't operate an effective law enforcement agency without the support of community members.  This is why I place so much emphasis on the efforts of our Community Resource Team.  Too often, the only exposure a community member may have with law enforcement is through being a victim, witness, or suspect in a crime.  The Community Resource Team offers a positive venue to provide quality presentations on matters of keeping you and your family safe, giving insight to avoid being the victim of crimes, and bringing awareness to the negative aspects of our community.  This brings a positive opportunity to build a relationship between a deputy and citizen.

In order to effectively meet the challenges of an ever-growing and changing community, it is important that you provide your input on the efforts and outcomes of the Community Resource Team.  You may do this by clicking on the above link for "member forums" and actively participate in the discussions - or start a new topic and interact with members of the Community Resource Team.  You may also submit a question under the "contact" link above.

I sincerely thank you for visiting this website and once again look forward to a strong relationship with the citizens of Logan County.

November 15th, 2010: Rural Solutions announces 'The Second Wind Fund of Northeast Colorado":
Shockingly, as many as 1/4 of all teens have more than passing thoughts of suicide in a given year. With kids and their friends struggling with these thoughts, suicide is not an unusual phenomenon affecting Colorado youth but rather a topic that is unfortunately embedded in the fabric of their everyday lives. It is a tragedy that cuts across all socio-economic classes, and suicide still carries a large social stigma. Even when a teen’s suicide risk is recognized, the lack of adequate mental health care coverage stands as an enormous obstacle. Surveys have shown that as many as 62% of people struggling with suicidal thoughts do not seek treatment because of financial concerns. Second Wind Fund of Northeast Colorado removes those financial barriers. Please contact The Second Wind Fund of Northeast Colorado at 970.520.5207 for more information.
