The Logan County Sheriff’s Office recognizes that no law enforcement agency can operate at its maximum potential without supportive input, guidance, and expertise from the citizens it serves and our community organizations. For that reason, the Sheriff’s Office partners with the following organizations in several programs that we offer:
Sterling Youth Services
In today’s modern world it is essential that we empower our youth with decision making skills which will help them safely into adulthood and beyond. Sterling Youth Services provides counseling that will guide your youth by empowering the youth to make changes, providing problem focused education classes, creating access to community resources, i.e. therapy, tutoring, family planning, substance abuse, and employment training. Rural Solutions
Maranda Miller is the Program Coordinator for Rural Solutions. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Affairs. Maranda is a certified QPR (question, persuade, refer) suicide prevention gatekeeper instructor. QPR is specifically designed for educators and community members. She is also a trainer for yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention programs for grades 6th-12th. Both trainings teach participants the warning signs and risk factors for suicide and what to do if a suicide situation arises. Centennial Mental Health Center
Centennial Mental Health Center (CMHC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the highest quality comprehensive mental health and substance abuse treatment services to the rural communities of northeastern Colorado. Administrative offices are located in Sterling, Colorado, which is the home base for Executive, Deputy, Finance, and Medical Directors. Center-wide functions provided from Sterling include Human Resources, Billing, and Management Information Systems. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive array of superior behavioral health services that support safe, successful, and self-sufficient lives throughout the ten-county area. High Plains Sexual Assault Center
HPSAC is one of the agencies in the 13th Judicial District that provides direct service to victims of sexual assault. The Center provides the following services to our communities: crisis intervention, information, referral, courtroom advocacy, personal advocacy, victim notification, assistance with victim compensation, assistance with protection orders, community education and awareness, and forensic interviews for children ages 3-12. All services are available to past and present victims of sexual assault, sexual abuse, incest, stranger rape, forcible date rape, intimate partner rape, rape of children or teens by parents/elder relatives/other responsible relatives, statutory rape, group rape, college campus rape, prison rape, and rape as a means of warfare.
